Adding LinkWithin Widget

5.21.2014
There is a number of available tutorials on how to add a LinkWithin Widget to your blog or site. A couple of suggested instructions worked for some, while most of the ones I personally found did not work for me. It's one of two things: either the LinkWithin site is experiencing some technical difficulties or the suggestions that I happened to come across with would just never work for me.

So here is how I was able to install the LinkWithin Widget. I am sharing this in case some also experienced the same issue.

1.) Go to LinkWithin.

2.) Enter your information. Instead of choosing your blog platform, choose Other.
Click Get Widget!.

3.) You will be redirected to a page like the one below. Copy the codes provided on your page.

4.) Go to your Blogger Dashboard, proceed to Layout, then click Add a Gadget.

5.) Find and select HTML/JavaScript and then paste the code which was copied from the LinkWithin site earlier.

6.) Save changes.

If it did not work for you, you can try this or this.

Shailene Woodley and Feminism

5.08.2014
I don't understand the fuss about Shailene Woodley's misunderstanding on what "Feminism" is about.

Personally, I don’t think it’s her fault that she’s unfamiliar with the term. She is probably more well-informed in other things just not with beliefs or ideologies such as feminism. It’s like other people being very much acquainted with this topic and being less knowledgeable on other topics. It is just unfortunate that she is a public figure and that there are certain expectations from people. I can agree that this is a lesson not only for her but for all of us – to learn what is correct from what we now know is wrong. However, she doesn’t have to always say or know the right thing. Good if she does, but she’s a human being like us and she just happened to misuse a term and I doubt if with the intention of offending anyone.

Here is the article: http://hellogiggles.com/shailene-woodley-feminist-just-doesnt-know#comment-419942

Again, nobody's perfect. If anything, to explain the concept of "Feminism" "over and over again" creates no harm but actually raises the awareness of people who are less knowledgeable on this issue, take Shailene Woodley for example.

Hayayayay

The price of....

What happened early this afternoon at the EENT Specialist's clinic was like a scene straight from the movie.

Doctor: 'Wag mo tatamaan 'yan (tenga), kapag pumutok 'yan bubutasan na 'yan diyan na lalabas ang sipon mo.
(Make sure not to get your ear hit, if it [infected area-eustachian tube] bursts, we'll have to make an incision and your nasal secretions will now be discharged from your ear.)

Me, looking at my boyfriend: (kadiri/yuck look) wahahahahahaha

Doctor: ay hindi nakakatawa 'yan mangyayari talaga 'yan. (That's not funny, it will really happen.)

Me: (silence).

Ffffffffffff.

My supposed to be fun trip to Boracay left me with a remembrance, a middle ear infection that may or may not have to be treated with minor surgery. :( To my ear, please respond positively to medications.

Love,
Your amo.

Boracay

5.02.2014

Posting via mobile and in Boracay! It is my first out of town trip with all expenses paid from my own pocket.

Though going to Boracay was not in my list of 30 things to do before I am 30 (which I lost :s), I have always wanted to see what this famous place is really like. Boracay has been, for so many years, topping innumerable lists of "best beaches", "most beautiful beaches/islands" with its famous white, fine sands. And indeed it's true, it has fine and ultra white sand and clear waters.

When I got into the water, I fell in love with the beach instantly. It isn't like any other beaches that I have been to before, although, I have actually only been to a few because I am not really a beach person. Hehe 😁 I love the terrain more.

Frankly, I didn't get to do much in Boracay aside from swimming and a little bit of (rave) 'partying' because I got sick on the day that we were scheduled for island hopping. I blame the aircon in our room and too much Loco Frio! In as much as I wanted to snorkel, and I really do, I had to rest because I had a medical exam scheduled a couple of days after. Priorities, priorities. I just felt the need to be my best during the medical exam! I actually drank some beer on our first day in Boracay, which I personally think is not a good thing especially when I don't even drink any alcoholic beverages.

Anyhow, we will be partying later tonight, my last night on this beautiful island. No booze, just wholesome music. I know, I am such a boracay bore, but...partying has never really been my kind of fun. But I am going to enjoy tonight given that it's my last night here!

Thank you Boracay!
